Our Story

Welcome to Roco Interiors! We’re absolutely thrilled to have you here.

In 2022, we started Roco Interiors as a passion project blog to share interior design ideas on a budget. As first-time homeowners ourselves, we were eager to transform our modest house into a stylish home but struggled to find inspiration we could actually achieve on a budget.

So we rolled up our sleeves, scoured flea markets and yard sales for hidden deals, tested paint colors on sample boards, and slowly outfitted our home one DIY project at a time. We upcycled dated furniture with paint and hardware, mixed high-end finds from consignment shops with budget-friendly accents from retail stores, and invested our limited funds into key statement pieces.

As we learned the joys and challenges of decorating our first home, we shared our journey online. To our surprise, that humble blog quickly grew into the leading lifestyle site Roco Interiors is today! What started as DIY projects and secondhand shopping tips has expanded into complete room makeovers, insider designer advice, and essential decorating 101 guides.

While we’ve grown significantly since those early blogging days, our roots remain the same. We still operate with a small, close-knit team that simply loves decorating and wants to empower others to create homes they love too.

Mux also spends his weekends antiquing to unearth one-of-a-kind vintage finds. He provides practical furniture buying advice to help readers decorate affordably and functionally.
